Meet the founders
Peter Biondo
Co-Founder
Peter is the co-founder of Avaroy. With a background in accounting and software engineering, Peter brings a combination of business, technology, and creative experience to the development of Avaroy. His musical background includes a Certificate in Professional Jazz Guitar from Berklee Online and participation in NYU's Film Scoring Workshop. He has also contributed guitar to Dreaming Freedom, a music project that raised funds to support the fight against human trafficking in partnership with International Justice Mission (IJM). At Avaroy, Peter focuses on building technology that helps creative professionals and teams organize their work, manage projects, collaborate effectively, and bring ideas from conception to completion. His approach is rooted in understanding both the creative process and the systems required to support it. Peter grew up in Brooklyn, NY, where he first began making music alongside his longtime friend and Avaroy co-founder, Tarek Zantout. The two grew up playing in a band together, and their shared experience as musicians ultimately became part of the foundation for Avaroy. Today, Peter's goal is to build Avaroy into a complete ecosystem of tools that gives creative professionals the infrastructure they need to do their best work.
Tarek Zantout
Co-Founder
Tarek Zantout is a musician, builder, and entrepreneur whose passion for music extends far beyond playing guitar. With a professional hands-on background in fabrication, engineering, project management and design, Tarek has spent years building and modifying instruments, studio equipment, and custom pieces—combining traditional handmade craftsmanship to provide quality and innovation. Tarek co-founded Twelfth Fret Music Co. with the belief that music is a universal language - one that brings people together, creates lasting connections, and gives us a beautiful reason to share something in common. As Co-Creator of Avaroy, Tarek has helped shape that philosophy into the digital world. Avaroy was created to give professionals across music, film, and entertainment a dedicated place to connect, collaborate, find opportunities, manage projects, and build meaningful professional relationships.
